Like A Bullet

Trying so hard to maintain this positivity campaign

I'm living life on somebody else's dime

Traveling east, I must confess, it seems you've caught me at my best

But I'm not sure I'll make it through this time

Cause it's not like you said

Your love is like a bullet

It's coming fast and it's aimed right for my head

I'm dodging out of the way cause I've got something to say

But I don't think you'll understand me

I don't think you'll understand me

How could you ever understand?

How can you say we're stuck in the same boat?

I'll make you choke on words you never could convey

I'm jumping ship while hanging tightly to your throat

Try my best to stay afloat so I can watch you sink

As I step onto the plane I've only got myself to blame

I'm flying as I'm trying to keep in touch

Every smile that's graced this face in the past year has been replaced

I never thought I would miss that place so much

Cause it's not like you said

Your love is like a bullet

It's coming fast and it's aimed right for my head

I'm dodging out of the way cause I've got something to say

But I don't think you'll understand me

I don't think you'll understand

How could you ever understand?

I thought we had a breakthrough

I thought we made it to the other side

No need for SOS calls

They'll never make it here in time

If this is truly the death of us

I simply feel no need to mourn

I'd rather spend my nights cursing the day that we were born

How can you say we're stuck in the same boat?

I'll make you choke on words you never could convey

I'm jumping ship while hanging tightly to your throat

Try my best to stay afloat so I can watch you sink

How can you say we're stuck in the same boat?

I'll make you choke on words you never could convey

I'm jumping ship while hanging tightly to your throat

Try my best to stay afloat so I can watch you sink
